Blake was selected as the team’s Defense Lineman of the Year for each of the last two years. Blake received the most valuable player award at the Gridiron Classic this year at Ford Field. Blake is excited about continuing his football journey at North Dakota State University. Contributing to the Bison defense and to continue winning National Championships is his new goal.

Blake was also a three year varsity player on Romeo’s basketball and track teams. The basketball team won two consecutive district championships, as well as a conference championship. The track team captured four consecutive league titles. As a boy Blake played rugby in New Zealand and competed in baseball and wrestling until the ninth grade. Blake participated in lacrosse and track in his last season of high school.

Blake said, "I thank my family for all their support over the years. I know without all their love and support and gas money that I would not be able to play in today’s game. I thank my coaches: Couch, Rienas, Murphy, Warnick, Lee, Cushingberry, Teller, Lebodia, Dragoish, Hamilton, Roth, Davis, and Stark for all their help in making me the athlete that I am today. Being a football player at Romeo was a great honor. I love my teammates and the community that supports our programs. The four-corners experience is like no other in Michigan football. I am truly blessed and look forward to competing today and going forward knowing an entire village is supporting me as I continue my education and football experience at NDSU.
