Assistant Coach Tim Wooer
Kingsley High School

Wooer, age 37, graduated from Kingsley HS in 1988. He graduated from Central Michigan University in December of 1991. He was then hired by Farwell HS and was the head football coach from 1994-1998. His return home to Kingsley was the next stop as he was hired as head football coach and physical education teacher. Wooer has coached for 15 years, including 13 as a varsity head coach and the last 8 years at Kingsley. Highlights of his coaching career include an overall 92-42 record, 5 conference championships, 2 district titles, an undefeated season in 1998 at Farwell HS, and a division 6 state championship in 2005 at Kingsley. Since arriving at Kingsley, they have qualified for the playoffs in 7 of 8 seasons.

Wooer enjoys time with his two separate "families". The first being his immediate family of wife Kate and two children, Tyler (age 4) and Lauren (age 3). Returning home to Kingsley, where parents Bill and Eileen Wooer and brother Dean reside, have made his accomplishments all the more special. The second "family" consists of all the ex-players, coaches, and fans that have been involved with coach Wooer’s profession. Coach Wooer stated, "I would like to thank my two families. Our football family for the support and exceptional memories over my coaching careers at Farwell and Kingsley. I have been able to surround myself with great coaches and players. I feel very blessed. However, most importantly, I would like to thank Kate, Tyler, and Lauren for sharing their husband and father with this sport called football. They have certainly made my life truly complete."

Wooer thanked the MHSFCA for "not only the honor of being selected to coach in the All-Star game, but for their guidance and education throughout my coaching career." Wooer continued, "The coaching profession has brought me to know some great friends and people. Our communities in Michigan should feel very lucky to have such amazing people leading our young men both on the field and off."
