Brad Bush is a 1988 graduate of Ypsilanti High School.  He played quarterback at Cornell University (1988-1990) and was a member of the 1988 Ivy League championship team.  Brad holds two degrees from Eastern Michigan University in history and exercise science.  In addition, he holds a master’s degree in Sports Management from Eastern Michigan University.
    Coach Bush began his coaching career at Ypsilanti High School in 1991 working for Bill Kohn.  In that time he was a part of two Southeastern Conference championship teams, and one state semi-finalist team.  In 1993 he took a teaching and coaching position at East Kentwood High School.  While working for Bill Giarmo, Bush was a part of three consecutive OK Red championships.  In 1997 he took the head coaching job, and a teaching position, at Chelsea High School.  In 2003 Brad was the running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Eastern Michigan University working for Jeff Genyk.  Bush then returned to Chelsea as the head coach in 2004.  In 11 years as the head coach at Chelsea High School, Brad has been honored as Regional Coach of the Year four times.  Chelsea has won 8 Southeastern conference championships during that time.  In addition, Chelsea has qualified for 9 consecutive playoff appearances.  In addition, Brad is a Regional Director with the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.
    Brad has been married for 15 years to his wife Laura.  She and their three children Janie 12, Jack 9, and Grace 8, have given tremendous support to Brad throughout his coaching career.  In addition, Brad has had the great fortune of having a veteran dedicated coaching staff, including Grant Fanning who is coaching in the game today. "This is the greatest honor of my coaching career.  I thank all of the dedicated players that I have had the honor of coaching over the years.  In addition, my wife Laura has always been a great partner in football and in life.  Finally, I thank the head coaches that I have worked for over the years.  I owe my coaching success to the mentorship that they have provided."
