Clarey, Jock
Jock Clarey
Inducted: 1985
Hastings High School
Jock Clarey came to Hastings Area Schools as head football coach and athletic director in 1951. He served in both roles until retiring in 1966, only to return to his dual responsibilities two years later until he finally retired in 1969.
During his tenure, Clarey led the Hastings football Saxons to a pair of league championships, going undefeated in 1965. That year, he was named Michigan High School Coach of the Year and was inducted into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1985.
