Michael is the son of Todd and Barbara Carter. He has a younger brother, Jackson (11).
    Michael began playing football at the age of 8 and has been hooked ever since. He was a three-year varsity player. During his sophomore year, he was brought up for the playoffs. His junior year, he started at tight end and his senior year he started at tight end and linebacker for the St. Joseph Bears. Michael helped his team to an undefeated regular season and a conference championship in 2008. In his senior season, Michael also helped his team to another conference championship and to a district championship.
    Michael received two team awards his senior season. He was named Defensive Player of the Year and received the MVP award.
    Michael will attend Hillsdale College on an athletic scholarship. He gave a special thanks to his family for their support and his coaches, especially Coach Elliot Uzelac, for guiding him throughout his football career.
