At quarterback, Johnny completed 132 passes out of 236 attempts for 1,804 yards and 15 touchdowns. He rushed for a total of 504 yards and 10 touchdowns. In doing so Johnny broke four school records in his senior year. As a result, Johnny was awarded Football Player of the Year at Dexter High School.


Johnny’s leadership qualities earned him the title of captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams. He helped lead the Dreadnaught basketball team to a district title in his junior year and the baseball team to a district title in his sophomore year.


Johnny thanked his mother, grandma Jane, and grandma Charlie for their continued support. He thanked the Dexter community for supporting the Dexter Football Family. He gave special thanks to coach Tom Barbieri and the entire football staff for supporting him on and off the field. He gave, "A big thank you to the Taheri Family, Doc, Kay, Alex, Krystyna, Olympia and Amanda for allowing me in their home." Johnny also gave a special thanks to Cohn McAweeney and Jon Lamb and the rest of the Dreadnaught offensive line.
